Finnish Wood Preserving Association is an organization promoting the interests of chemical wood preserving industry. Wood Preserving Association operates in the field of research and standardization aiming to support development of the wood preservation industry.
Finnish Wood Preserving Association is a forum for discussion and co-operation to its members and all those involved in wood preservation. Association collects information and analyses statistics concerning production quantities, consumption and export of the preservative-treated wood and provides information regarding preservative-treated wood.
Association represents the industry in dealing with national and international authorities, such as the Chemical Inspectorate, the Finnish Environment Institute, local governments and other related organisations and keeps the member companies updated regarding current news and legislation.
Furthermore Finnish Wood Preserving Association administrates marketing company Kestopuu Oy and recycling company Demolite Oy.
